Once you select a researcher, the Researcher Card will open.
It contains the following options and information:
- Navigation– you can navigate between search results without closing the card, using the back and forward arrows at the top of the card.
- Researcher Information - Including their name, Highly Cited Researcher tag (If available), primary affiliation – organization and department (if available), a link to their Web of Science Researcher Profile, Web of Science Identifier and ORCiD (if available).
Summary Tab
- Research Topics - The top 10 micro- level (third level) Research Topics this researcher is tagged with, aggregated from content related to the researcher (see more information here). The topics are organized into meso-level (second – level) groups distinguished by color. The topics are ordered by relevance.

Researcher Output - Displays:
- A count of this researcher's publications in the Web of Science Core Collection
- A count of this researcher's preprints
- The total number of grants received by the researcher based on data from the grants index and grants linked to the researcher’s publications*.
- Overall grant amount based on data from the grants index and grants linked to the researcher’s publications*.
- Activity Years - The first and most recent years in which this researcher published publications and preprints, based on available data.
- Key Performance Indicators - Metrics based on the Web of Science Core Collection. For more information see here.
- Highly Cites Researcher - Displays the researcher’s recognition as a Highly Cited Researcher. Highly Cited Researchers have published multiple papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for their field(s) and year in the Web of Science Core Collection over the past decade, demonstrating significant and broad influence in their field(s). The new section on the card shows a breakdown of the recognition by category and the years in which the recognition was received.

Activity - A sample of this researcher's publications and preprints:
- Most Cited Publications - Shows up to five most cited publications in descending order of citation count. They can differ from the Highly Cited Papers which are based on the publication type, year and category. You can click on any of these publications to view it in Web of Science.
- Recently Published - Shows up to five most recent documents in order of publication date, with the most recent listed first. Documents include Web of Science Core Collection publications , preprints and more. You can click on any of these publications to view it in Web of Science.
- Recent Grants - Shows up to five of the researcher’s most recent grants, based on data from the grants index and publications linked to grant funding.
- View in Web of Science Profile - Click here to see this researcher’s complete publication list in their Web of Science researcher profile.
Impact tab
- Publications and Times Cited per Year chart – Yearly breakdown of publications and Times Cited since 1980 or since the researcher is active (the later of the two). The X-axis represents the years, and a dual Y-axis is used to display publication and citation counts.
