Find Organizations

An Organization is a top-level unit that may or may not have sub-level units (called departments in this application). Organizations can be of different types, such as Academic, Research, Government and Corporate. 

To start searching for organizations, select Discover from the Navigation Menu, and select Organizations from the menu. 

Search for Organizations

There are 2 options to search for organizations. Select the requested way by selecting the tab:

• Organization Name - Start typing an organization name to see suggested matches. You can select a suggestion from the list to see that organization's details page or execute the search to see the search results page. 

• Search by Countries - You can search for organizations in one or more countries. Click on the search bar or start typing a country name to see suggested matches. Select one or more countries. You can keep editing your list and select additional countries. When you have finished selecting the desired countries, click the Search button to execute the search and see the search results page.

This is how the Organization Search Results page looks:

It has the following areas:

• Search bar - Your selected search terms. You can select a new search term or change the search scope by changing the selection in the Search by dropdown menu.
• Results Count and Filter - The number of organizations retrieved. You can refine the search results using the available filter:
  • Country - Select one or more countries to see organizations from those countries. This filter is available when searching by Organization Name.

  • Organization Type - Select one or more types to view organizations of those types. By default, this filter is set to “Academic and Research".

    Available organization types include:

    • Academic and Research

    • Corporate

    • Government

    • Health

    • Nonprofit

    • Unknown

• Sort - You can change the sort order of the results. Available sort options are:
  • Relevance - This is the default sort order, in descending order of relevance.
  • Name A-Z  / Name Z-A - Sort the list alphabetically in ascending or descending order.
