New Features

Semantic Search - We added a semantic search functionality to the Funding Advanced Search form. The semantic search allows a user to conduct contextual, natural language queries across all funding opportunities and the result sets will contain more funding opportunity matches that are conceptually relevant to the query than a free text search would. You can find more information about all the fields that are searchable in the Advanced Search form here.

Citations by patents produced by Top 100 Global Innovators – We added to the Retrospective Indicators group a new indicator based on an organization’s publications relevant to a societal facet that have been cited by patents produced by Top 100 Global Innovators. The Top 100 Global Innovators list is published by Clarivate annually and highlights the most influential companies and institutions shaping the global innovation landscape.

We are working continuously on improving the ease of use, performance consistency, reliability, and enhancing the functionality of all agents.

Organization Type filter - You can now filter the organization search results using the Organization Type filter. Default is set to Academic and Research organizations and the user can adjust to include more types. For more details see here.

Semantic search - Semantic search capability is now included when searching for a topic in the main search bar. Results will include similar meaning.
New filters - New filters are now available for refining results by Funding Agencies, Authors and Document keywords.
Relevance sort - New Relevance sort option added, in regard to the provided search term.
Document count - When you apply a filter relevant to publications, the results list will display the number of matched vs. total count of publications.
Topic Details page - Enhancements include a Top Contributors table, which can be sorted, that shows the Organizations contributing core and/or co-citing publications to the emerging topic. In addition, there's a new Contributing Publications table, that shows contributing publications are core and co-citing publications that contribute to the Emerging topic. The publications can be clicked to see more details about them in Web of Science.

Research Performance Summary Organization Report - On the scorecard tab, resolved an issue where values for publications relevant to SDGs were displayed incorrectly. The report now shows accurate data.

Research Performance Summary Organization Report - Extended benchmarking - When using Compare by against an Organization or Group, the Impact tab charts will display data for these organizations. For groups, individual organizations within the selected group alongside a group average will be displayed. This enhancement provides deeper insights into comparative performance.

Expert Finder - Browse Research Topics - When searching for expert, you can use research topics to find researchers in specific fields. Soon you will be able to see all the topics listed in an hierarchical list which can be searched and explored. This can assist you in finding the most relevant topics for your search from the entire keyword set and not just based on a selection of suggested ones in the typeahead within the search bar.

Connection to funding opportunities - Will allow users to view funding opportunities related to emerging topics.

Semantic search threshold slider - Will allow users to modify the threshold of the semantic search to view more/less related topics to their search.

Wordmap - The wordmap will display keywords associated with an emerging topic of interest on the topic details page.
